Christmas Star Ornament Tutorial

by cathy on December 16, 2013

Yes, I know, I need to desperately update my blog! But first I want to share with you my super easy Christmas Star ornament. Enjoy!

You will need:

Christmas Star single stamp

Whisper White cardstock

Silver cord or white baker’s twine

Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Silicone Mat

Simply Scored Scoring Tool

Bermuda Bay ink pad or colour of your choice

Basic Rhinestones

Here’s how:

Stamp 2 stars onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out leaving a 2mm border of white card.

Score along all lines on star and fold on line – mountain fold for longer lines and valley fold for shorter lines – so as to make two 3D stars.

Cut a 20cm length of cord or baker’s twine and fold in half. Place a “dob” of hot glue in the channel of one long point of star on the inside and insert the ends of the cord or twine. Quickly add a little more hot glue and place the second star over the first, holding points together in the hot glue until they adhere together being careful not to burn your fingers!

Place another dob of glue in the next long point and hold both points together until they adhere. Repeat with remaining points.

Adhere a basic rhinestone to the centres of both sides of the star.

hang on the Christmas tree and make lots more in no time!
